Drone identification system using wifi, color code and programmable LEDs to identify each drone.

Small wifi beacon and wifi detection gun was build to identify flying drones. The beacon has microcontroller with encoded key to generate a sequence of hash codes. The codes are temporal dependent. In the other side, a wifi receiver with a high gain directional yagi antenna search for the wifi signal, decodes the hash code and visually inform the operator if the code is valid or not. At the same time, the beacon has a blinking color pattern that also is generated based on the key, allowing any visual observer to identify the drone.
